An opportunity has opened for a Civil / Structural engineer to work for Balmoral Tanks Ltd at their flagship manufacture and office facility in Thurnscoe, Yorkshire.
Balmoral Tanks Ltd is UKs leading water and wastewater storage tank company providing liquid storage solutions to the UK and export markets for over 30 years.
The design team is looking for an experienced Reinforced Concrete ( Steel experience a bonus) Civil/ Structural engineer to produce designs and calculations for bids, quotes and project delivery.
Projects are diverse in application and location and will require a flexible approach to use design codes, inhouse software and a level of ingenuity.
The successful candidate will have demonstratable experience of at least 5 years design and calculation experience and be confident in his/her ability to lead technically and work without supervision.
RC structures include tank foundations and bases, tank walls and roofs. Providing confident and accurate material quantities, bar schedules, construction drawings and construction method statements to Eurocode and BS8007.
Steel structures include storage tanks manufactured in steel and stainless steel to recognised international tank design codes. Steel design to Eurocode for beam roof designs, load bearing structures, access platforms, ladders and staircases.
Water industry experience is a bonus, however transferable design experience and skills are accepted for the right candidate.
