Balmoral Tanks Limited is a leading European engineering design and manufacturing company.  As a result of significant investment in people and plant, the company produces what is believed to be the most comprehensive range of tank products available for a single source in the EU.

Job description:

Design liaison with clients to achieve project-specific design approvals, including attendance to design review meetings both internally and with clients and/or consultants as required.

Key accountabilities:

  • Operate a safe working environment in line with company policies and procedures
  • Maintaining records of personal development and training
  • Working supervised by a one to one design mentor at all times
  • Learn how to produce tank sheet layout/CNC, access steelwork, and roof structure drawings for each assigned project

Skills required:

  • Excellent inter-personal skills 
  • First class planning and organisational skills  
  • Good presentation, written and oral communication skills  
  • Must be willing to develop interpersonal and communication skills  
  • Must be computer literate particularly in Microsoft Excel and Word and Engineering software packages for further training  
  • Good standard of education

Personal qualities the candidate must have:

Things to consider:

During the first year you will be required to attend the University of Sheffield AMRC Training Centre in Sheffield, full time for an initial block of study.  One Friday per month you will return to your workplace.  After the initial block training you will attend the AMRC Training Centre for one day a week to undertake the knowledge study.  The remaining four days will be spent in company learning on the job.
