We are seeking a HR Coordinator for our Thurnscoe office who will thrive in our dynamic environment.

The main job function is to provide generalist HR and administrative support to managers and staff across all Balmoral Tanks businesses. A busy and varied role covering all aspects of the HR function including assisting with recruitment, training, discipline & grievance and providing general advice and development support to the business managers.

Working with the HR Advisor, the role is key to supporting the Managing Director and the senior management team plans for further growth of the business while at the same time maintaining a key focus on what differentiates the business from its competitors; its people.  The business is IIP accredited and is currently engaged with Sheffield Hallam University on a very exciting behavioural/competency training and development project; known as a Knowledge Transfer Project (KTP).

Provide advice and guidance on best practice in relation to recruitment, retention and development of the staff in their areas.

The HR Coordinator will go about their role displaying high levels of initiative, drive & enthusiasm; and be expected to act as an ambassador & role model for our business. Confidentiality and integrity are key to the role and non-negotiable.

General

  • Maintain accurate and secure records for all personnel.
  • Responsible for presenting the HR Induction programme and updating it as and when required.
  • Assisting and developing managers regarding company HR policies and procedures.
  • Provide general advice and guidance to managers liaising with Empire HR where necessary.

Recruitment

  • Assist HR Advisor in the recruitment of all disciplines
  • Look at new cost effect ways to recruit
  • Interview with managers as and when required
  • Collate and respond to all speculative applications for employment in a timely manner
  • Help develop our induction programmes and objective settings for all new employee’s. This of course will be lead by the relevant manager.

Training

  • Develop and approve a suitable list of training providers to cover the business requirements, including legislative areas.
  • Work closely and support the KTP.
  • Booking of medical appointments.
  • Compile and print internal certificates
  • Liaise with health and safety re all courses and training matrix & maintain Occupational Health Spread sheet and questionnaires.

Qualifications

  • Minimum HND or Level 3 VQ in an HR related discipline.
  • HR related Degree.
  • CIPD level 3

Experience

  • Minimum of three years experience of working in an HR role in a service or manufacturing business.
  • Minimum of five years experience in an HR role in a service or manufacturing business.

 

Skills & Abilities

  • Excellent inter-personal skills.
  • First class planning & organisational skills.
  • Good presentation, written and oral communication skills.

 

  • Understanding of key elements of employment law.
