We are looking for a lab assistant who is fully trained in the use of hand tools to join our team
Main Duties
-
Preparation of test samples using cutting equipment (band saws, router, lathe, sanders, lab CNC machine etc)

Preparation of moulds (cleaning, assembly etc)

Assisting in trials undertaken by the department (gathering of chemicals/materials, weighing and mixing materials)

Undertake basic testing

Work in a clean, tidy and safe manner

Departmental upkeep (cleaning, replenishing, painting, minor repairs etc)
Core hours will be dayshift. Please note occasional shift work may be required, therefore the ability to work shifts is desirable.

- Working with cutting machinery, laboratory and test environment familiarity (advantageous but non-essential)
- Awareness of working with chemicals safely
- Cutting/Machining experience
- MS Office (recording basic test results)
