Balmoral Tanks is looking for an exceptional Manufacturing Manager to join our Operations team and play a pivotal role in delivering excellence across safety, quality, service, delivery, cost and people performance.
About the Role
As our Manufacturing Manager, you will be a key member of the operations team, supporting the Operations Director and ensuring our manufacturing facility performs to the highest standards. You will lead by example, act as an ambassador for our core values, and drive continuous improvement throughout the site.
You’ll be accountable for ensuring products are delivered right first time (RFT) and on time, in full (OTIF), managing departmental costs, and delivering strong NPS (Net Promoter Score) results through exceptional quality and customer service.

What You’ll Do
- Lead and maintain a safe, compliant working environment aligned with H&S and QA policies.
- Manage manufacturing costs to budget and report on variances.
- Ensure production operations meet quality, service and delivery standards.
- Drive continuous improvement across processes, productivity, and waste reduction.
- Maintain equipment and stock levels to agreed standards.
- Develop, mentor, and manage production teams, encouraging strong performance and engagement.
- Lead and report on manufacturing KPIs, corporate objectives, and forecasting requirements.
- Ensure accurate system usage (Great Plains) and daily reconciliations.
- Collaborate with HSEQ, Finance, Sales, Contracts, and Senior Managers to deliver operational goals.

Skills & Abilities
- Strong organisational and decision‑making skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
- Innovative thinker with commercial awareness.
- Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel and engineering software packages.
- Knowledge of Quest or similar systems.
