Balmoral Tanks Ltd is a leading European engineering design and manufacturing company. As a result of significant investment in people and plant, the company produces what is believed to be the most comprehensive range of tank products available for a single source in the EU.

Civil engineering, wastewater treatment, drainage, fuel oil containment, rainwater harvesting, bulk liquid, firefighting and potable water storage sectors are all key sectors for the company.

We are looking for a Procurement Assistant with a minimum of 2 years’ experience within Procurement to join our team.

 

The main function of the role is to procure all requirements for their given categories in a sound, ethical manner and in accordance with all requirements to assure on time delivery to the end customer

 

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOBHOLDER

  • Selects suitable sources, requests bids as necessary, evaluates quotation and makes final supplier selection and places purchase order with supplier

  • Verifies that Bill of Materials details are correct and complete and highlight any discrepancies with line Manager

  • Works to agreed price lists or quotations and lead times. Any queries with terms and conditions are highlighted with line Manager. Recommends best commercial options ensuring budgets are met

  • Capture and report to line Manager any anomalies with BOM, budget vs actual costs, lead-times etc.

  • Performs order expediting activities as required

  • Liaises with Planning and Projects personnel highlighting any issues with achieving requested deliveries

  • Establish and build good working relationships with suppliers

  • Adhere to the Approved Supplier procedure with regards to setting up suppliers on Approved Supplier List (ASL)
