Position: Production Controller
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Controller to join our team at our manufacturing facility in Llantrisant.
Role Overview
As a Production Controller, you will be a vital part of our production control team. You will be responsible for production planning in designated areas, coordinating material control activities, and ensuring the accuracy of records and systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Production Planning:
- Deliver the production plan for the designated area on a daily, weekly, or required basis, including work orders, production records, and lookaheads.
- Control and process production records, bulk packing, conversions, and scrap records in a timely manner.
- Support line managers to ensure smooth and safe delivery of the production plan.
- Material Coordination:
- Coordinate cross-site orders and stock transfers with finance and other sites.
- Assign routings/work centres and control planned adherence.
- Create weekly capacity analysis for planning review with production.
- Coordinate with the design team on BOM (Bills of Materials) and drawing release and updates.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work with the production control team to ensure coverage for all areas during absences.
- Provide weekly reports on status, stock control issues, and improvement activities.
Experience & Skills We are looking for a candidate with:
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing factory environment.
- At least 3 years of planning or production control experience.
- A solid understanding of BOMs and routing structures.
- Proficiency in MS Excel (intermediate minimum, advanced preferred) and MS Word.
- Experience with MS Great Plains is desirable but not essential.
