Production Operator

We’re looking for a Production Operator join our team. The jobholder is responsible for carrying out manufacturing processes required by way of a detailed production record and to maintain a clean and safe working environment with adherence to our safety policies.
What you’ll be doing
- Operate a safe working environment in line with company policies & procedures behaving in line with company core values.
- Actively participating in learning and development.
- Actively contributing to the SiFiRi process to implement corrective action on incidents to reduce risk.
- Carrying out first off dimensional checks and 100% visual inspection to ensure products meet our high-quality standards.
- Material movement using equipment including forklifts, pump trucks and powered pallet trucks.
- Accurate labelling/marking of finished parts.
- Maintain excellent standards of housekeeping.
- Working to strict company deadlines and targets.
- Adhering to strict Health & Safety rules and regulations.
- Completes all Paperwork in accordance with GDP (Good Documentation Practice)
- Metal Process Operative – Uses a variety of fixed equipment and hand tools to manufacture Aluminium & Steel components. Processes include Band Saw, Press Brake, Roller, Punches.
- GRP Hot Press Operative – Responsible for the Manufacture of GRP Panels using the Hot Press Process, loading, unloading and trimming of the panels, varying in weight up to 28kg each.
- GRP Drill Operative – Utilises the Fixed Drill Rigs to complete the manufacture of GRP Panels for Installation, varying in weight up to 28kg each.
- Laminating Operative – Hand Laminating under vacuum, responsible for Moulding, Cutting and Final fit out.
- PVC Assembly Operative – Uses Cutting equipment and assembles to Engineering Drawings a variety of PVC Fittings.
- Picking & Packing – Responsible for the Picking of all Tank Components which could be Panels or Kits, picking and packaging prior to Despatch to the Customer. This is a physically demanding role that also requires an eye for detail and the ability to adhere to daily plans and plan the most effective way to palletise the goods being picked.

- Able to read basic engineering drawings
- Experience in a despatch, warehouse, or factory environment (desirable)
- A strong team player who is also confident working independently
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive, customer-focused approach
- Reliable, flexible, and able to meet deadlines
- Comfortable working in an environment where accountability and ownership matter
