Balmoral Industrial Tanks, a division of Balmoral Group, produces what is believed to be the most comprehensive range of tank products available from a single source in the EU. Our key sectors include Civil engineering, fire-fighting, potable/non-potable water, anaerobic digestion, biofuel, biomass, wastewater treatment, desalination and drainage.

We are looking for a Sales Estimator to work along side our pipe work company in our Thurnscoe office to support the sales team and provide an important link between the team and our customers.

We are seeking a customer focussed, well organised individual whose main duties & responsibilities will be:

  • Produce & manage accurate estimates/ budgets.
  • Value engineering to make savings where necessary.
  • Support the company’s negotiation team, estimates & change orders within the main contractors.
  • Processing all sales related documentation
  • Estimating sales enquirers and submitting quotations 
  • Been able to answer any client queries regarding their enquiries/orders
  • Dealing with any information passed on by the sales team
  • Production & pricing of bills of quantities from drawing & specifications
  • Prepare tender submissions & contracts documents for financial & commercial presentation
  • Adhere to company standards and guidelines when analysing and providing estimations; focus on maximising profit and customer satisfaction, while minimising any potential risks to the company
  • Balance multiple estimations at once, ensuring each reaches the client by the deadline
  • Contacting existing and new clients via both email and telephone
  • Site visits
  • Assist in any other Adhoc tasks.

Qualifications

  • Good general education with a good standard of numeracy and literacy.

 

 

Experience

  • Microsoft office, excel & word are essential

  • Viewing AutoCAD & 3D models

  • Reading drawings – P&ID’s  GA’s – Section drawings

  • Estimating & pricing experience

  • Knowledge of pipework fabrication – steelwork fabrication – mechanical installation
