Balmoral Tanks Ltd is a leading European engineering design and manufacturing company. As a result of significant investment in people and plant, the company produces what is believed to be the most comprehensive range of tank products available for a single source in the EU.

We are looking for a Scheduler to join our busy Contracts team in Llantrisant.

Main Duties

  • To schedule all tank installations in the most efficient manner, logistically, accurately and within budget, to ensure maximum utilisation of resource and profitability of Site Services activities.

  • Working alongside Production Planner, schedule all production picking to agreed lead times and in an efficient manner to suit production capacity.

  • To schedule and communicate the requirement for jacks over the upcoming weeks.

  • To ensure the Installations manager is constantly kept up to date on resource and any reported Installer issues.

  • To respond swiftly and accurately to all date requests.

  • To liaise with Contracts Supervisor and Coordinators in a timely manner over any changes to the schedule, so that they can ensure Customers are kept advised in advance.

  • To provide insightful logistical solutions.

  • Improving the departments performance in relation to the SLA and response times

  • To scrutinise installation and production requests from contract coordinators (and potentially sales & service staff) and provide feed-back on efficiency and availability

  • To contribute and improve upon the departments SLA and NPS targets, whilst minimising the customer complaints

  • To oversee the planning of all installations and support the contracts team with delivery with a focus on productivity

  • Ensuring escalations regarding deployment, project delivery and resource are resolved by utilizing the relevant support teams.

  • To provide logistical support to the sales & service team

  • To work closely with the production department (in particular the Production Planner) over capacity and availability for successful implementation of the lifecycle delivery.

  • To co-ordinate with contracts coordinators on availability, especially swift notification of any changes.

  • To assist with weekly installer requisitions and employed personnel time sheets

  • To assist with monthly report on installer activity covering all facets of site issues

  • To assist contracts team with problem projects and provide swift and precise action plans

  • Feedback and contribute to the continuous improvement and productivity of all teams – Subcontract and Directly employed

  • Coordinate with Plant and Transport Manager in relation to all site activities

  • Construction related Industry training


  • Previous Logistical employment
  • Tank installation or manufacturing experience, preferably in the water storage tank market

Skills & Abilities

  • Excellent communicator
  • Ability to work within a virtual team environment
  • Time management
  • Be able to prioritise and multitask with good attention to details
  • IT Literate
  • Advanced word/Excel
  • Knowledge of Quest system or equivalent
